About Qodo
What it does
Qodo, formerly CodiumAI, is an AI code review and governance platform for engineering teams. It reviews pull requests inside your Git provider, posts summaries and structured findings, and enforces your organisation's coding standards. Its current documentation centres on the Qodo Review product rather than the test-generation tools it was first known for.
What is inside / how it works
Qodo splits a review between several specialist agents that run in parallel covering bugs, standards, architecture and risk. A judge agent merges their results, removes duplicates and filters by confidence before anything is posted. A Context Engine indexes the codebase so the review can flag issues that cross modules or services, and a beta feature indexes past pull requests to learn which kinds of findings your team actually acts on. A central rules system enforces security, style and architecture policies, and cross-repository review is available. The Agentic Toolbox exposes skills so coding agents can fetch the relevant rules, review local changes before a pull request and resolve Qodo's findings.
Works with
Pull request reviews run on GitHub (cloud and Enterprise Server), GitLab, Bitbucket Cloud and Azure DevOps, with Gerrit on Enterprise plans. The Agentic Toolbox is documented for Claude Code, Codex and Kiro, through a CLI, agent skills, MCP or APIs.
How to install or start
Sign in with GitHub, Google or email, then connect a Git provider from the Qodo portal and install the app on your repositories. Enterprise customers can choose single-tenant or on-premises deployment.
Pricing
At the time of writing (September 2026), there is a 14-day free trial but no permanent free tier. The Pro Team plan, for up to 30 users, is billed monthly with no commitment and uses credit packs pooled across the team at $0.012 per credit; the smallest pack is 2,500 credits for $30, and larger packs are available. Enterprise pricing is custom. Qualified open-source projects can apply for free access. Plans have changed recently, so check the official pricing page.
Who should use it
Teams that care about consistent standards and governance across many repositories, including organisations that need self-hosting. Solo developers will find the lack of a free tier limiting.
