About Refly
What it does
Refly lets you describe a business workflow in plain language ("Vibe Construction") and compiles it into a versioned, auditable skill instead of a one-off prompt. The pitch is that skills should be infrastructure: stored in a registry, versioned, and exportable to multiple runtimes rather than re-written per agent.
What is inside
- A skill registry for centralized, versioned management of compiled skills
- An "intervenable runtime" that lets a human pause, audit or redirect a skill mid-execution
- Universal export: ship a skill as an API, webhook, MCP server, or native tool
- 3,000+ documented connectors, including Stripe, Slack, Salesforce and GitHub
Works with
The README documents export/integration paths for Claude Code and Cursor as coding tools, Lovable as an app builder, Slack, Lark (Feishu) and Microsoft Teams for automation, and agent frameworks including AutoGen, LangChain and Manus.
How to install
npm install -g @powerformer/refly-cli
refly skill install <skill-id>
Docker-based self-hosting is also documented for running the full platform yourself.
Maintenance and safety
Actively developed (7.5k+ stars, 8,800+ commits, dozens of open issues and pull requests) under the ReflyAI Open Source License, an Apache-2.0-based license. The README does not publish hosted pricing; self-hosting appears to be the primary deployment model, so budget for your own infrastructure plus the API costs of whichever LLM you point it at.
Who should use it
Teams that keep re-implementing the same recurring, natural-language-described workflow as separate prompts across tools, and want to compile it once into a shareable, versioned skill they can plug into several coding agents and chat platforms instead.
Pros
- Compiles natural-language workflows into versioned, auditable skills instead of throwaway prompts
- Exports to APIs, webhooks, MCP servers or native tools, with 3,000+ documented connectors
- Intervenable runtime lets a human pause and audit execution mid-run
Cons
- No published hosted pricing; effectively self-hosted, so you carry infra and LLM API costs
- Broad integration claims (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, Slack, Lark) are documentation-level and not independently verified here
