About Composio

What it does

Composio is an integration platform that gives agents ready-made, authenticated tools for more than 1,000 apps, including GitHub, Slack, Gmail, Linear, Notion and Google Workspace. Composio handles OAuth, API keys and token refresh for you. Developers use the MIT-licensed TypeScript and Python SDKs to create per-user sessions in their own apps. Individuals can connect a coding agent to Composio's hosted endpoint. Sessions expose a few meta tools that find and run app tools on demand, which keeps context small.

Works with

Every SDK session can expose a hosted MCP endpoint. You pass mcp: true and point any MCP client at the session's URL with its headers. For personal use, Composio Connect runs at https://connect.composio.dev/mcp with OAuth sign-in, and you can add it as a custom connector in Claude or as an HTTP server in Claude Code, Cursor and other clients.

Cost and limits

At the time of writing (September 2026), the Free plan includes 100,000 tool calls a month with a hard cap and no card required. Scale costs $29 a month, with overage at $0.0003 per call. Enterprise pricing is custom.

Safety notes

Every app you connect gives the agent real permission to act in that account, such as sending email or deleting issues. Connect only the apps you need and review actions that write data. Over MCP, the SDK's before and after execution hooks do not run, so any guardrails you built in code will not apply there.
