What it does

scroll-craft is an agent skill for building premium, scroll-driven websites to a defined design standard. It aims to avoid the two ways AI-generated sites usually fail: bland and forgettable, or a flashy scroll animation with unreadable body text and the same handful of sections every AI page produces. The skill carries the whole workflow, from brief and page grammar through build and verification, so an agent produces immersive pages that meet real typography, spacing, colour, and contrast floors rather than just adding motion.

What is inside

The skill folder holds a SKILL.md procedure plus reference guides for hero depth, eight mutually exclusive page grammars, a required bespoke "signature move", a fingerprint gate that forces each new build to differ from previous ones, a feeling curve, a single engineered peak, nine scroll devices, art direction, and a design-floor reference. A never-edited runtime engine (scrollcraft.js and .css) drives scroll-scrubbed video, pinning, and pointer response from six colour tokens and two fonts. Scripts handle setup diagnostics, workspace management, asset encoding, and a headless-browser verification pass that walks the finished page at every scroll position and reports dead scroll, cues that never reach full opacity, per-line contrast measured on the composited page, and clips that silently failed to decode.

Works with

Codex, Claude Code, and any coding agent that can read instructions, edit files, run commands, and inspect a browser. It also ships as a Claude Code plugin for convenient installation.

Maintenance and safety

MIT licensed and recently updated. Requires Node 18+, a full ffmpeg build, and playwright-core with Chrome for verification; a KIE_AI_API_KEY is optional and only needed to generate assets, which costs money, while building from your own footage is free. The maintainer notes builds have only been run on Windows.
