What it does

Awesome Claude Agents turns Claude Code into a small development team. Instead of a loose pile of specialists, it is built around orchestration: a tech-lead orchestrator breaks a feature into steps and hands each one to the most suitable specialist for your stack, while a team configurator works out which specialists your project should use in the first place.

What is inside / how it works

The collection has 24 agents. Three are orchestrators: the tech lead, a project analyst that detects your technology stack, and the team configurator. Thirteen are framework specialists for Laravel, Django, Rails, React (including Next.js) and Vue (including Nuxt and state management). Four are universal experts for backend, frontend, API design and Tailwind CSS, and four form a core team: a code archaeologist for unfamiliar codebases, a code reviewer, a performance optimiser and a documentation specialist. When you run the configurator, it inspects files such as package.json, composer.json or requirements.txt, scans the installed agents and writes an "AI Team Configuration" section into your CLAUDE.md that maps tasks to agents.

Works with

Claude Code only. The README lists the Claude Code CLI and a Claude subscription as prerequisites, with the Context7 MCP server as an optional extra for documentation lookups.

How to install or start

Clone the repo and link (or copy) its agents folder into ~/.claude/agents:

Then, inside your project, ask Claude Code to use the team configurator before starting feature work with the tech-lead orchestrator.

Free and open source under the MIT licence. Model usage is billed through your Claude plan or API account.

Who should use it

Developers working in the supported frameworks who like an orchestrated workflow over picking agents by hand. The author warns that the project is experimental and token-hungry, with complex features consuming tens of thousands of tokens, and the routing is opinionated.
