What it does

Power Platform Skills is Microsoft's official plugin marketplace for building on the Power Platform with Claude Code or GitHub Copilot CLI. It is a set of plugins, one per Power Platform service, each providing skills, agents and commands. With them an agent can scaffold and deploy Power Pages code sites, build model-driven and canvas apps, generate code apps for web and mobile, create codeful MCP tools with widgets, and build and debug Power Automate cloud flows. An installer script sets up the pac CLI, detects which agents you have, registers the marketplace and installs the plugins with auto-update on.

What is inside

• Power Pages: create and deploy code sites as single-page apps in React, Angular, Vue or Astro
• Model Apps: an /app-builder skill that builds tables, forms, views and security roles from a description, plus /genpage for generative pages
• MCP Apps: generate codeful MCP tools and single-file interactive widgets
• Code Apps and Mobile Apps: React plus Vite, or Expo and React Native, deployed via the PAC CLI
• Canvas Apps authored through a Canvas Authoring MCP server, and Power Automate flows via a FlowAgent MCP server
• Power Apps Mobile Extension for native controls packaged as .ppmplugin bundles

Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI, through the shared Open Plugins marketplace format.

How to install

Run the installer, or add the marketplace and install a plugin by hand:

Maintenance and safety

The code is MIT-licensed, published by Microsoft and updated frequently. Several plugins depend on the PAC CLI, Azure CLI, .NET or Node, and on you being signed in to a Dataverse environment. Telemetry differs by plugin: Power Pages telemetry is on by default and can include tenant and organization GUIDs, while Model Apps ships disabled. You can opt out per plugin or through an environment variable. The plugins run shell commands and edits during a session, so the README's auto-approval options should be used only in trusted setups.

Who should use it

It suits developers building Power Platform apps, pages or flows who want first-party, up-to-date tooling for their coding agent. It is of little use outside the Microsoft Power Platform.
