What is Tutti?
What it does
Tutti is a real-time shared workspace where people and AI coding agents work in the same connected room instead of copying files and context back and forth between separate agent sessions. Rather than replacing Claude Code or Codex, it sits alongside them as a collaboration layer both humans and agents can see and act in together.
What is inside
- A real-time shared workspace where context, files and outputs are visible to every connected agent and person in the room
- "Big @" referencing to pull in past conversations, files or prior agent output from elsewhere in the workspace
- A built-in app ecosystem (image generation, UI/UX design, documents, presentations) that both humans and agents can invoke directly
- Task orchestration that breaks a goal into subtasks and routes each one to the appropriate agent
- A Control Center consolidating every agent conversation, pending approval and running task in one view
Pricing
Tutti (the desktop app) is Apache-2.0 licensed and free for local, single-user, multi-agent work; both it and the hosted "Tutti · VM" edition run on agent subscriptions you already pay for (Claude Code, Codex) rather than a separate Tutti fee, and a built-in lower-cost model is available if you don't have one. Tutti · VM adds multi-user, multi-device rooms and is in Early Access, gated behind an invite code to create a room — joining an existing room is free.
Works with
Claude Code and Codex today, with Hermes also supported and OpenClaw (DeepSeek) listed as in development.
How to install or connect
Tutti is a GUI desktop app with macOS and Windows downloads linked from its site; no command-line install is documented, and no terminal is required to use it.
Maintenance and safety
Apache-2.0 licensed with 3.7k+ GitHub stars and active, ongoing commits. The project states that only what's created inside a shared room is visible to the people invited to it, and everything else stays private — worth confirming against your own data-handling needs before putting sensitive client work in a shared room.
Who should use it
Anyone already running more than one coding agent side by side (say Claude Code and Codex) who is tired of manually re-explaining context between them, or a small team that wants a single control center over several agents' conversations and pending approvals at once.

Pros
- Addresses a real pain point: manual context-copying between separate agent tools
- Genuine open-source edition alongside an optional hosted multi-user version
- Active development (5,300+ commits) and a real, if moderate, community
Cons
- Multi-user cloud edition (Tutti VM) needs its own access-control review for sensitive code
- Value depends on already running multiple different coding agents side by side
