What it does

cc-multi-cli-plugin, also called Multi, lets one Claude Code session use models and coding harnesses from other providers. External models appear in the /model picker next to Claude's, and each provider can also run as a named worker subagent with progress, elapsed time and cancellation. Each provider keeps its own login, so you use the subscriptions you already have rather than a proxy key.

What is inside

It is a plugin marketplace with a shared multi-core plugin and four optional provider plugins. multi-openai connects ChatGPT models through a Codex login. multi-cursor uses the official Cursor SDK. multi-zen connects OpenCode Zen with an API key. multi-antigravity drives Google's agy CLI. OpenAI and Zen models run inside Claude Code's own tool loop, while Cursor and Antigravity workers use their own SDK or CLI tools and report their actions back to the session. A /multi-usage menu shows quotas, spend where available and per-worker receipts, and sessions can be resumed later.

This is a Claude Code plugin. Codex, Cursor, OpenCode Zen and Antigravity are model sources you connect into it, not hosts it installs into.

Maintenance and safety

Apache-2.0, actively developed, with CI on Linux, macOS and Windows and a changelog. It launches through a separate claude-multi command and leaves plain claude untouched. Claude's permission mode governs dispatch to every provider, and multi uninstall removes the shell integration. It needs Node 24.12 or newer, and each provider's own terms and quotas still apply.

Who should use it

Claude Code users who also pay for ChatGPT, Cursor or other plans and want to route some subtasks to those models without switching tools. It is less useful if you only use one provider.
