About Claude Code Best Practice
What it does
Claude Code Best Practice, by Shayan Raisshan, is a reference and teaching repository for Claude Code. It gathers the product's features, links to the official documentation, and collects tips from the Claude Code team and the community. It also shows each concept as a working example inside the repository. The author says to read it "as a course", not to install it as a workflow.
What is inside
- Concept tables: subagents, commands, skills, hooks, MCP, plugins, settings, memory, sessions and the context window. Each links to the docs, a best-practice write-up and an in-repo implementation.
- A "Hot" table: newer features such as auto mode, agent teams, routines, scheduled tasks, worktrees, Ultrareview and dynamic workflows.
- An orchestration example: a
/weather-orchestratorcommand that chains a command, a subagent and a skill, meant as a template for your own flows. - Workflow comparison: a table of popular frameworks (Superpowers, Spec Kit, BMAD, OpenSpec, gstack and others) mapped to their stages.
- Cross-model workflows: routers, plugins and MCP servers that pair Claude Code with Codex, Gemini or local models.
- More than 80 tips: sorted by prompting, planning, context,
CLAUDE.md, agents, hooks and workflows, each with its source. - Reports: short studies on settings scope, agent memory, skills in monorepos and usage limits.
Works with
Claude Code only. Some linked tools bridge to other agents.
How to install
There is no package to install. Clone the repository, open it in Claude Code and run the example orchestrator:
claude
/weather-orchestrator
You can also point Claude at the tips section from inside your own project and ask it to suggest changes to your CLAUDE.md.
Maintenance and safety
MIT licensed and updated almost daily to track new Claude Code releases. The in-repo examples include hooks and settings files. Review what they allow before you copy them into a real project. Some tips are drawn from social media posts rather than official documentation.
Who should use it
Claude Code users who want a structured tour of every feature and a feel for how experienced users combine commands, agents, skills and hooks. It suits people learning the tool more than those looking for a drop-in plugin.
Pros
- Maps every Claude Code feature to docs and a working in-repo example
- Tracks new releases almost daily
Cons
- A learning resource rather than an installable skill pack; some tips come from social posts
